Trauma & Somatic

Therapy in London

Petar Rodic

‍ ‍

I offer trauma and somatic psychotherapy in London for adults experiencing anxiety, relational difficulties, and the lasting effects of unresolved trauma. This work focuses on how trauma is held in the body, not only in thoughts, helping you develop greater emotional stability, clarity, and self-trust.

Who this is for

  • Ongoing anxiety or persistent inner tension

  • Effects of childhood or developmental trauma

  • Repeating relationship patterns that feel hard to change

  • Feeling stuck despite insight or previous therapy

  • Disconnection from body, emotions, or sense of self

‍ ‍

‍ ‍

How I work

  • Depth psychotherapy focused on developmental, attachment, and relational trauma

  • Work with anxiety patterns, recurring relational dynamics, and early experiences that continue to shape your present life

  • Attention to relationship difficulties and repeating interpersonal themes

  • Space to explore and develop a more stable and authentic sense of self

  • A trauma-informed somatic approach that works directly with nervous system patterns, not just thoughts

I offer a structured, trauma-informed psychotherapy that is tailored to you as an individual. My work integrates somatic awareness with psychodynamic understanding, supporting change that is steady, embodied, and sustainable rather than forced or rushed.

What we focus on

We work with the patterns that keep repeating in your life. These patterns often formed early and may now show up as over-control, emotional shutdown, hyper-alertness, or difficulty sustaining intimacy.

They can present as anxiety, trauma responses, relational difficulties, or a persistent sense of disconnection from yourself.

Our focus is on understanding how these patterns developed and how they continue to operate in the present.

My work is suited to adults ready to engage in consistent, depth-oriented therapy.

How therapy works

Sessions combine careful listening with direct attention to bodily experience. This helps bring awareness to emotional and nervous system responses as they arise, allowing them to be understood and processed rather than avoided.

Over time, this supports integration and meaningful, embodied change.

What this can lead to

Clients often report greater emotional stability, clearer boundaries in relationships, and a stronger sense of self-trust.

Progress is individual and unfolds at a pace that respects your nervous system and capacity for change.

About me

I am a UK-based psychotherapist with over 15 years’ experience in NHS and private practice, specialising in trauma-informed and somatic psychotherapy for adults.

Alongside my professional training, my approach has been shaped by lived experience of relocation, cultural transition, and navigating anxiety and trauma. These experiences inform my belief that change does not come from forcing ourselves to be different, but from creating the right conditions for understanding, safety, and integration to develop over time.
